Eric focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation, and broad-based real estate services including land development, zoning, commercial and residential landlord/tenant matters, construction issues, and advice on condominium and planned community associations, as well as litigation arising therefrom. In his current practice, Eric represents clients spanning from individuals to mid-market companies, situated both domestically and internationally. Eric regularly serves as lead counsel and has tried real estate and commercial matters to favorable resolution in the trial-level courts and before arbitration and administrative panels. In addition, Eric has successfully argued cases on appeal before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

Some of Eric's representative matters include:

  • Defense of a major telecommunications provider in an action brought by a municipality involving the use of its borough-wide utility infrastructure.
  • Obtaining and collecting on a six-figure judgment on behalf of a commercial real estate landlord against a large-name restaurateur tenant.
  • Successfully defeating a neighborhood registered community organization's objections to a developer's construction project, which was approved by the Zoning Board and then appealed to the Court of Common Pleas and then to the Commonwealth Court.
  • Representing a National Hockey League star winger in a contract dispute with his former agent.
  • Obtaining dismissal of claims brought against a national vending corporation and its employee for alleged violations of a covenant not to compete.
  • Securing a favorable, confidential settlement on behalf of a general contractor in a failure to disclose and construction defect claim brought by third party purchaser of an investment property.
  • Litigating and securing a confidential settlement on behalf of a religious corporation in an action against a contractor for negligence and substandard workmanship.
  • Successfully defending a New Jersey Real Estate Commission's action to revoke a real estate broker's license.

Prior to joining the firm Eric worked in the commercial litigation department at a large Mid-Atlantic firm. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in writing from the University of Vermont, and obtained his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
